About the Conference Series
About Boreal Conferences
Boreal Conferences is a Toronto-based scholarly publisher operating under Academic Publishing House LLC, dedicated to disseminating rigorously reviewed research through open-access conference proceedings. Our mission is to provide researchers across Canada and internationally with a fast, transparent, and rigorous route to publication, while maintaining the editorial standards expected of established scholarly venues.
Boreal Conferences currently operates three peer-reviewed proceedings series, each anchored in a different Canadian city and disciplinary focus:
- TICECC — Environmental Science & Climate Change, held in Toronto
- VICES — Education & Social Sciences, held in Vancouver
- MICHS — Health Sciences & Nursing, held in Montreal
Although each series maintains its own editorial board and thematic scope, all three share a common infrastructure: double-blind peer review, rapid biweekly publication, persistent digital object identifiers (DOIs), and full open-access distribution under a Creative Commons licence. This shared model allows authors to expect the same standards of rigour and transparency regardless of which conference proceedings they submit to.
Boreal Conferences welcomes submissions from graduate students, early-career researchers, and established academics alike, and is committed to supporting scholarship that reflects Canada's bilingual research community.
