Publication Ethics & Malpractice Statement

Boreal Conferences adheres to the principles established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and expects all parties involved in the publication process to uphold these standards.

Duties of Authors

Authors must submit original work, accurately represent their methods and results, and disclose any financial or personal relationships that could be perceived as influencing their research. Data fabrication, falsification, and image manipulation are strictly prohibited. Authorship should be limited to those who made a significant intellectual contribution to the work, and all co-authors must approve the final manuscript before submission.

Duties of Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to evaluate manuscripts objectively, maintain confidentiality, and disclose any conflicts of interest that might affect their assessment. Reviewers should decline assignments where they cannot provide a timely and unbiased review.

Duties of Editors

Editors are responsible for fair, unbiased handling of all submissions, and for making decisions based solely on academic merit. Editors will not disclose information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, and relevant editorial staff.

Plagiarism Screening

All submissions are screened using dedicated plagiarism-detection software prior to review. Manuscripts exhibiting substantial unattributed overlap with previously published work will be rejected or returned for revision.

Corrections and Retractions

Where errors are identified after publication, Boreal Conferences will issue a formal correction. In cases of serious ethical breaches, including data fabrication or plagiarism, an article may be retracted in accordance with COPE guidelines, with a retraction notice permanently linked to the original publication.
